Whisk together the milk, optional protein powder, sweetener, vanilla, and salt thoroughly together until the sweetener has dissolved.
Quickly add all of the snow and mix it in. If it gets dry and lumpy, add more milk a wee bit at a time until it gets smooth.

Notes
You don't HAVE to powder the sweetener if you really don't want to, but, depending on what sweetener you use, it may leave a grittiness in the ice cream. If you don't mind this, then don't bother powdering the sweetener.
