The wax, no, not really. For me, the rosin also did not cause any problems and came off pretty easily. However, others have reported that the pine rosin will leave a stickiness on the dishes and/or utensils they use when making these wraps that takes a long time to go away or never goes away. If you’re concerned about this, then use old dishes/utensils.
