It can, yes. You should NOT heat it in the microwave. When heating it in the oven, keep the oven LOW (215° F as mentioned in this how to). Keep an eye on it while it is in the oven so it doesn’t overheat. And when opening the oven door, do so cautiously.
If your rosin does catch on fire in the oven, keep the oven shut and turn off the heat. Leave it alone until the flames have gone out. Do NOT pour/splash/spray water on the flames.
